In the history of humanity, there were women and men at all times and in all places who opposed the existing political and social mainstream. They came out of conviction for their attitudes, they fought for something beyond their own personal interests, they put their actions at the service of all humanity. They did, even though they knew exactly what consequences it would have for their personal existence: from marginalization, denigration, proscription to prohibition, prosecution, imprisonment, torture, execution or murder …
They deserve all my love and admiration. They should always be models for my own (in comparison ridiculously small) decisions and actions, I carry them always in the heart. They are my friends and companions in spirit!
