system coherence

A viable system is made up of as many different elements as possible, which constantly feedback and influence each other in their individual polyphony. Only their complex (complex, even contradictory) structure makes a system capable of permanently adapting to new circumstances, needs, necessities, challenges, registering, wanting and addressing changes or bringing about a liveliness.

If there are tendencies in a system to limit, filter or even eradicate real plurality (destruction of critical voices for fear of power loss in authoritarian systems or cultural desolation in capitalist society through monopolization or “market adjustment” mechanisms) then this system becomes sooner or later they will be miserable. Coherence is only possible through complexity. One-sidedness is pseudo-stability.
