If Brecht & Mozart could have worked together…

A thought experiment: Brecht and Mozart would have been a fantastic team. BB would have exploited Wolferl so much for his own purposes, but at the same time inspired him (operas!). On the other hand, Brecht would have constantly had to settle debts for Mozart and, thanks to his business acumen, would have been able to. And what would Mozart’s character & music have done to Brecht? How would Brecht have influenced Mozart in return?

Which author could Beethoven have gotten on with? Heine would certainly have made him both laugh and think even more revolutionary thoughts. Kleist, on the other hand, would probably have made him even more despairing and gloomy. A collaboration between Beethoven and Marx would probably have been a highly interesting enrichment for both…
