Thälmannpark. Spring night. A silky, fragrant breeze is blowing. I sit on the marble at the edge of the deliberately unlit and (deliberately) neglected square of the Thälmann memorial and listen to the nightingale. How beautiful this moment is. The nightingale, which has deliberately chosen this place for its performances because it amplifies its song with wonderful resonant spaces: the large, wide, empty monumental square, the dark silhouette of a figure, the wind, the crescent moon, the deep dark blue night sky, and the distant murmur of Greifswalder Strasse. In my head the “Lisa motif” from the Arno Schmidt Pianettes.
